Obverse

At the top, the USSR emblem with the hammer and sickle, the Red Star surmounting globe and the sheaves of wheat encircling the emblem with 15 turns of ribbon representing the 15 republics. Caption (cyrillic): "CC-CP ; 150 / Roubles".

Reverse

Representation of the discobolus from Myron's classical sculpture. On the rigt, Games' emblem. Caption (cyrillic): "La XXII Olympiade · Moscou · 1980, 1978".
