JACOBY, Jean. Rugby. Jean Jacoby had already been an Olympic painting champion in 1924 and 1928 when he showed this charcoal drawing at the 1936 Games in Berlin. This is a particularly interesting work in that we have been able to identify the player. It is Adolphe Jauréguy, captain of the French rugby team in the 1920s. Purchase
