Beijing 2022, Bing Dwen Dwen, the Olympic Winter Games mascot. Bing Dwen Dwen was chosen from among over 5,000 entries in a competition that was run by the Beijing 2022 Organising Committee and won by Cao Xue and his team. Bing Dwen Dwen wears a fullbody “shell” made out of ice, which resembles an astronaut suit – a tribute to embracing new technologies, while the heart on its left palm symbolises China’s hospitality towards athletes and spectators.
