Paris 2024, jade seal of the Chinese Olympic Committee.

Physical description

Double seal version consisting of two jade seals. Upper seal modeled after the ‘Chi Zheng Wanmin Zhi Bao’ (a seal used by the emperor to send proclamations to his people) and featuring the emblem of the Chinese Olympic Committee engraved on its base. Lower seal based on the Arc de Triomphe, featuring the emblem of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 engraved both within the landmark’s arch, and on its base. Reverse engraved with ‘2024’. Limited edition: 10,000 copies. Original case with the Paris 2024 emblem.

Notes

The double jade seal was designed in collaboration with Chinese artist Wang Xiwei and JonOne, an artist who lives in Paris. The upper seal is inspired by the "Chi Zheng Wanmin Zhi Bao" (seal used by the emperor to send proclamations to his people), one of the twenty-five cardinal seals of the Qianlong emperor. It features the emblem of the Chinese Olympic Committee engraved on its base. The lower seal is inspired by the Arc de Triomphe, a world-famous monument in Paris.
