Michael Edwards, the first person to represent Great Britain in ski jumping, shot to fame thanks to his perseverance, poor equipment, thick glasses and good humour. His exploits were immortalised in the film “Eddie the Eagle” directed by Dexter Fletcher in 2015. Donated by the athlete when he visited the museum
