The official poster "Anniversary 1956-2026" of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, designed by Italian artist Pierpaolo Rovero, was presented on 26 January 2026 in Cortina d'Ampezzo, on the stage of the city celebrations of the Olympic Torch Relay.
Created on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the return of the Winter Olympic Games to Cortina, the poster inaugurated a visual story that intertwines memory and contemporaneity, building a symbolic connection between past and present.
It is structured as a visual journey through time, combining the past and future of Cortina's Olympic history. On the left side, iconic images appear that recall the Cortina of the past, with a tribute to one of the greatest athletes of the area: Eugenio Monti. In the centre, the city appears unchanged in its symbolic elements – the mountains, the bell tower, the animals and daily life – while at the top, the Emblem of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games acts as a unifying element. The right side is dedicated to the 2026 Olympics, with the disciplines that were held in Cortina: bobsleigh, women's alpine skiing, luge, skeleton and curling, highlighting the sporting evolution of the last seventy years.
