The mascots for Milano Cortina 2026 were two stoats named Tina and Milo. They were the result of a collective idea, conceived in the school classroom. The project was developed as part of a national competition in which over 1,600 Italian schools took part. In the end, the ermine designs created by the Istituto Comprensivo di Taverna received more votes than the edelweiss and snowdrop designs submitted by the Istituto Comprensivo Sabin di Segrate. Development was then taken over by Movimenti Production. More than 30 people worked on different stages of the project, as reported by Giorgio Scorza, CEO, creative director and co-founder of Movimenti.
The project proposed by the Istituto Comprensivo Sabin di Segrate was also developed, and the Flos became the mascots’ companions. A symbol of rebirth, the snowdrop won over the creative team because this little flower hides great strength, a symbol of resilience. They are supporters, they have a total reverence for their brethren. They never leave their friends. There are 6 of them, curious and irresistible, sometimes looking for trouble. They always act in a coordinated way, like a team, but each one has a peculiarity that differs from the others.
